About Ch La Clotte Saint-Jacques:
The estate was sold in 1912 to Sylvain Chailleau who exploited it for nearly 60 years.
Shortly before his death in 1973, he gave the vineyard in rent to Jean-Pierre Moueix.
It was not until 1990 that his 3 little girls got together to resume farming.
For a few years, Château La Clotte has not produced a second wine, or clairet,
while preferring to concentrate on making a truly great wine by limiting yields and ensuring
that this Bordeaux wine is brought into the upper range of quality and class.
